If you are a foreign expatriate who is not exempt from Singapore visas and wishes to enter the country, you can apply for an electronic travel authorization visa, also known as e-Visa for Republic of Singapore. It is a fast, convenient, and affordable way to obtain permission for entry.

In Vietnam, expatriates can submit the Singapore Visa application paperwork at the Consulate-General of The Republic of Singapore in Ho Chi Minh City or The Republic of Singapore Embassy in Ha Noi.

HIGHLIGHTS OF SINGAPORE VISA FOR FOREIGNERS WHO ARE WORKING IN VIETNAM

Form of visa: electronic visa (namely e-Visa for Republic of Singapore);
When applying for a Singapore visa from Vietnam, you will need to submit paper documents. However, instead of receiving a visa sticker on your passport, you will be informed of the result via email in a PDF file. It is important to note that you must print out this document and bring it with you when entering Singapore;
Only Chinese citizens applying Singapore Visa in Vietnam need to provide an Identity document (ID Card);
To apply for a Singapore Business visa, the company inviting you must provide a copy of their Business Registration and the ID card of the legal representative, who must be a Singapore citizen or a Singapore Permanent Resident over 21 years old. These documents must be submitted along with your Singapore Business Visa application in Vietnam. However, some companies may hesitate to share this personal information with you. However, since this is a mandatory requirement, it is recommended that applicants discuss with the inviting company to complete the necessary documentation.
All documents for a Singapore visa must be in English. If not, certified translations into Vietnamese are required.

SINGAPORE VISA IN VIETNAM – WHAT DOCUMENTS FOREIGNERS NEED TO PREPARE?

Foreigners who working & living in Vietnam must provide the below documents for their proof of documents living in Vietnam:

A Valid Vietnam Visa or Temporary Residence Card (TRC);
A Valid Vietnam Work Permit (if any);
Temporary resident confirmation with the below specification:
+ For foreigners with a short duration of stay in Vietnam without a Vietnam work permit or TRC, you just need to have a confirmation letter from the place where you are residing;
+ For foreigners with a long duration of stay in Vietnam with a Vietnam Work Permit and TRC, you need to have the confirmation letter with the red stamp of the Ward/ District Police where you are residing.
