KEY CONDITIONS FOR REISSUING A LOST TEMPORARY RESIDENCE CARD

To be eligible for the reissuance of a lost Temporary Residence Card (TRC) in Vietnam, the applicant must satisfy the following conditions:

The previously issued TRC must still be valid.

Immigration authorities only process reissuance if the lost card has not expired. If the card is no longer valid, the applicant must apply for a new TRC instead of a reissued one.

The loss must be properly reported to the competent authority.

Foreigners are required to notify the nearest police station or local authority immediately after discovering the loss. A Lost Report Confirmation (or Police Report) is mandatory for the reissuance process.

The applicant’s passport, work permit, or work permit exemption certificate must remain valid for at least 12 months.

These documents must have more than one year of remaining validity at the time the TRC reissuance application is submitted.

The applicant must continue to meet the eligibility criteria of the original TRC category.

Step 1
