MALAYSIA VISA APPLICATION GUIDELINES FOR WHEN APPLYING FROM VIETNAM

For Vietnamese citizens and foreigners applying for a Malaysian visa from Vietnam, here are the streamlined guidelines:

  1. Passport Validity: Your passport must be valid for at least six months beyond your application date and have at least three blank pages.
  2. Residency Requirements: Expatriates should hold a long-term Vietnamese visa or a valid temporary residence card with multiple-entry privileges.
  3. Work Permit: A Vietnam A work permit is essential for expatriates employed in Vietnam.
  4. Health Precautions: Present a yellow fever vaccination certificate if you’re coming from a country where yellow fever is prevalent.
  5. E-Visa Application: Apply for the Malaysian E-Visa at least two weeks before your intended visit to ensure timely processing.
  6. Visa Expiry: The E-Visa cannot be extended. You must leave Malaysia before it expires and may apply for a new E-Visa for re-entry.
  7. Entry Documentation: Print and carry your E-Visa confirmation to show to immigration officials upon arrival in Malaysia.

  • Leave applications are for employees;
  • Bank account statement from the last 10 days with a minimum balance of 60 million VND (updated 1 day before submission);
  • Birth certificate and consent form signed by a parent or guardian (for minors);

  • Confirmation form from the Vietnamese company confirming identity, position, purpose of visit, and visa support request;

  • Passport valid for more than 6 months with at least 3 blank pages;
  • A clear, undistorted photo or scan of the passport’s information page;
  • Passport-sized photo (35mmx50mm) on a white background, without glasses, revealing the forehead, and no hat;
  • Completed Malaysia Visa application form with the applicant’s signature;
  • Valid temporary residence card or long-term Vietnam visa allowing multiple entries and exits;
