WHICH COUNTRIES ARE ELIGIBLE FOR ENTRY WITH A GERMANY SCHENGEN VISA?
When you have a Schengen Visa in hand, you can freely travel to 26 countries in the Schengen area (Europe), including Germany, Belgium, Denmark, Austria, Italy, Spain, Portugal, and Finland, France, Greece, Estonia, Hungary, Iceland, Lettonia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Norway, the Netherlands, Poland, the Czech Republic, Sweden, Switzerland, Slovakia, and Slovenia.
IMPORTANT NOTES WHEN APPLYING FOR A GERMANY VISA 2024
- Applicants must be presented on the submission date to obtain biometric data (10 fingerprints and digital photographs);
- A German visa application must be submitted at the earliest 3 months or at the latest 15 days before the intended departure date;
- A passport must have a place of birth; if not, you have to make a comment about the place of birth on the passport;
- Bank account statement for the most recent 3 months (statement no more than 2 weeks from the start date of submission);
- Travel insurance must be compulsory travel medical insurance (insurance must be valid for all Schengen countries and for the entire expected period of stay, including emergency treatment and transportation costs returning home for medical reasons; the minimum insurance is 30,000 EUR);
- All documents in Vietnamese must be accompanied by a valid translation (with a notarized stamp from the Justice Department) into German or English;
- Documents submitted must be accompanied by photocopies on A4 paper. The copy will be duly signed upon presentation of the original. VFS only retains the copy, and VFS will return the original upon receipt of the visa results;
- The average time to process and issue a Schengen visa is 15 working days. The Embassy/Consulate General may require additional documents and information, or you will be called for an interview, so the processing time may be extended;
- The Consulate will retain the passport during the visa processing period.
