Taiwan is an island nation in East Asia, located just off the coast of mainland China. While Taiwan has had a complicated and sometimes tumultuous history, today it is a vibrant democracy and a global leader in press freedom, healthcare, human rights, and political freedom. The island's high-tech industry plays a key role in the global economy, and it is among the most highly educated countries in the world.Visitors to Taiwan must obtain a visa in advance, unless they come from one of the visa exempt countries or countries whose nationals are eligible for visa on arrival. All visitors must hold a passport valid for 6 months (except the citizens of Japan and the United States who are only required to hold a passport valid for the entire duration of stay).
LIST OF COUNTRIES ARE EXEMPTED FROM TAIWAN VISA
Citizens of countries are allowed a maximum stay of 90 days: Andorra, Australia (effective from January 1, 2015 to December 31, 2018), Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, El Salvador, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Haiti, Honduras, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Republic of Korea, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macedonia (effective from May 21, 2018 to March 31, 2019), Malta, Monaco, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Norway, Paraguay, Poland, Portugal, Romania, San Marino, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Tuvalu, the United Kingdom, the United States of America,and Vatican City State.
Citizens of countries are allowed a maximum stay of 30 days: Belize, Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Malaysia, Nauru, Saint Christopher and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Singapore.
Citizens of countries are allowed a maximum stay of 14 days: Thailand (effective from August 1, 2016, to July 31, 2019), Brunei (effective from August 1, 2016, to July 31, 2019), Philippines (effective from November 1, 2017, to July 31, 2019).

Vietnamese citizens (haven’t exported labor abroad) containing valid visa of America, Canada, Britain, Japan, Australia, New Zealand and the European Schengen (including residence card) shall be exempt from Taiwan entry and staying in 30 days. However, the applicant should register online to be considered for visa, after approval, they may conduct the procedure of air plane and entry Taiwan.
