Indonesia Visa

Visitors to Indonesia must obtain a visa from one of the Indonesian diplomatic missions unless they come from one of the visa exempt countries. All visitors must hold a passport valid for 6 months as well as a valid return ticket. Passport with validity of more than 3 months can be accepted in special cases or business travel. Multiple entry business visa is valid for 12 months. For each visit the allowed maximum stay period is 60 days, which means this visa holder must depart from Indonesia after staying for 60 days and shall obtain another 60 days visa when arriving back in Indonesia. After staying for 60 days, the visa may not be extended at the local immigration office. This type of visa is very suitable for those who often come to Indonesia for business purpose without any intention to work within the maximum stay of 2 months. Since the purpose is for business, therefore this type of visa has to be sponsored by a company in Indonesia and may not be sponsored by an individual personally.

LIST OF COUNTRIES ARE EXEMPTED FROM THE INDONESIA VISA

Passport holders from all visa exempt countries can enter Indonesia through one of the 124 designated border crossings, including 29 airports, 88 seaports and 7 land border checkpoints.

The following 15 countries/ special regions citizen do not require a visa to enter Indonesia for the purposes of: Governmental Meeting, Education, Social Cultural, Tourist, Business, Family, Journalism or Transit up to 30 (thirty) days. Visitors can enter Indonesia from all immigration check points:

Brunei Darussalam; Cambodia; Chile; Ecuador; Hong Kong SAR; Laos; Macau SAR; Malaysia; Morocco; Myanmar; Peru; Philippines; Singapore; Thailand; Vietnam


The following 154 countries/ special regions citizen do not require a visa to enter Indonesia for TOURISM PURPOSE ONLY up to 30 (thirty) days:

Europe: Albania, Andorra, Austria, Armenia, Azerbaijan  Italy, Belgium, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Latvia, Bulgaria, Lithuania, Croatia, Luxembourg, Malta, Czech, Republic Netherlands, Denmark, Poland, Estonia, Finland, Romania, France, Slovakia, Germany, Georgia, Slovenia, Greece, Spain, Hungary, Sweden, Ireland, United Kingdom,  Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Serbia, Switzerland, Turkey, Macedonia, Moldova, San Marino, Ukraine, Vatican.

America: Antigua and Barbuda, Argentina, Bahamas, Brazil, Belize, Bolivia, Canada, Chile, Dominica, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guyana, Haiti, Honduras, Jamaica, Mexico, Nicaragua, Paraguay, Panama, Peru, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, United States Of America, Uruguay,  Venezuela, Puerto Rico.


Visa-free regime does not apply for the following countries and territories:

Afghanistan, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Colombia, Congo, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Djibouti, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Kosovo, Liberia, Micronesia, Montenegro, Nigeria, North Korea, Pakistan, Sierra Leone, Somalia, Sudan, Yemen.

 

WHO ARE ELIGIBLE FOR VISA ON ARRIVAL 

Citizens of these countries will be able to apply for a Visa on Arrival (VoA) valid for 30 days upon arrival by air or by ship through following airports and seaports: Belgia, Bulgary, England, Libya.

 

TYPE OF INDONESIA VISAS

Single entry Business/Tourist visa

Visa Index B211A is valid for 2 months and it may be extended 4 (four) times, each time for 30 days. The total maximum stay is 6 months. This visa for purposes:

  • Tourism
  • Family
  • Social
  • Business discuss
  • Attend international exhibition
  • Attend a meeting held by Head Office or Representative Office in Indonesia
  • Continue journey to another country
  • Emergency and urgent work
  •  

Visa Index B211B is valid for 2 months and it may be extended 4 (four) times, each time for 30 days, the total maximum stay is 6 months. This visa for purposes:

  • Provide guidance, counseling and training in the application and innovation of industrial technology to improve the quality and design of industrial products as well as cooperation of overseas marketing for Indonesia
  • Conducting audits, quality control of production or inspection at company's branches in Indonesia
  • Candidate of foreign worker in testing the working ability
  • Other activities as listed in index A

 

Visa Index B211C is valid for 2 months and it may be extended 4 (four) times, each time for 30 days, the total maximum stay is 6 months. This visa for purposes:

  • Journalism that has received permission from the Indonesian authorized institutions
  • Making film non-commercial and has received permission from the Indonesian authorized institutions
  • Other activities as listed in index A

 

Multiple Entry Visa (Index: 212)

This visa is valid for 12 months and the maximum staying permit is 60 days for each entry to Indo. This visa for purposes:

  • Family
  • Social
  • Art and Cultural
  • Government visit
  • Business discuss
  • Buying goods
  • Attend Seminar
  • Attend international exhibition
  • Attend a meeting held by Head Office or Representative Office in Indonesia
  • Continue journey to another country


Multiple entry business visa is valid for 12 months. For each visit the allowed maximum stay period is 60 days, which means this visa holder must depart from Indonesia after staying for 60 days and shall obtain another 60 days visa when arriving back in Indonesia. After staying for 60 days, the visa may not be extended at the local immigration office. This type of visa is very suitable for those who often come to Indonesia for business purpose without any intention to work within the maximum stay of 2 months. Since the purpose is for business, therefore this type of visa has to be sponsored by a company in Indonesia and may not be sponsored by an individual personally. The visa must be used within 90 days from the date of issuing.

 

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS FOR INDONESIA VISA APPLICATION

All visitors to Indonesia must submit:

  1. Passport must be valid for a minimum of 06 months as from the date of entry into Indonesia, there are still 2 blank pages in the passport which are still clean / empty
  2. Completed Form for Indonesian Visa (original) signed by the applicant.
  3. 2 passport photos in 3.5cm x 4.5 cm size with red color background.
  4. Photocoppy of Temporary Residence Card and Work permit of Vietnam

 

For business purpose, please provide:

  1. Business Registration Certification
  2. Decision of assigning employee on an oversea business trip
  3. Invitation Letter of the company sponsor in Indonesia/ Decision Letter of the sponsor company;
  4. Photocopy of visa approval letter from the immigration Department in Jakarta (Calling Visa if any);

 

For tourist purpose, please provide

  1. Valid air ticket booking (in and out Indonesia) and;
  2. Hotel booking.

 

VALIDITY OF VISA

  • Single entry Business/Tourist visa is valid for 2 months and it may be extended 4 (four) times, each time for 30 days
  • Multiple Entry Visa is valid for 12 months and the maximum staying permit is 60 days for each entry

 

PROCESSING TIME

The visa will be processed within 4 working days.
