THREE WAYS OF OBTAINING VIETNAM VISA FOR TURKISH

Option 1: Turkish citizens can apply for a Vietnam visa directly in their home country or in a country with a Vietnamese diplomatic representative agency, such as the Vietnamese Embassy or Consulate. This option requires foreigners to prepare their own documents in accordance with the requirements of the Vietnamese Embassy or Consulate, pay the visa stamping fee, wait, and even pay for expensive travel costs to the city having Vietnamese Embassy or Consulate. However, this option guarantees a high level of safety because the applicant already has a Vietnamese visa stamped on their passport.

Option 2: Turkish citizens can apply to the Immigration Department for a sponsorship application for a Vietnam visa for foreigners through organizations and enterprises that are legally registered and operating in Vietnam. This type of visa application, also known as the "Approval Letter," is a document approved by the Immigration Department and agreed to in writing to allow foreigners to enter Vietnam for a variety of purposes, including tourism, trade, investment, labor, visiting relatives in Vietnam, etc. The Approval Letter issued by the Immigration Department contains information about sponsored individuals, organizations, and businesses inviting foreigners, personal information about foreigners, the time limit for foreigners' entry into Vietnam, and visa pick-up places.

Turkish citizens can get their Vietnam visa stamped at one of the following locations after getting the entry document:

  1. At the Vietnamese Embassy in Turkey. Currently, in Turkey, there is only one legal Vietnamese representative agency, headquartered in the capital, Ankara, Turkey:

EMBASSY OF VIETNAM IN ANKARA, TURKEY
  1. At the Vietnamese Embassy or Consulate in the country where the foreigner is staying. For example, foreigners with Turkish nationality but living in Bangladesh, China, Japan, etc. can register to receive a visa at the Embassy or Consulate in Bangladesh, China, Japan, etc
  2. At Vietnam's international airports, such as Tan Son Nhat, Noi Bai, Da Nang, Cam Ranh, or Phu Quoc, …
  3. At international land border gates such as Moc Bai (bordering Cambodia), Lao Bao (bordering Laos).

Option 3: Apply for a Vietnam electronic visa (e-Visa). On August 15, 2023, Vietnam will implement a new visa form for Turkish citizens. Turkish nationals can apply online for a visa at the Vietnam Immigration Department's website using this type of e-Visa application. The Vietnam Immigration Department will review your visa application and issue a decision within 3-5 working days.
