CONDITIONS FOR APPLYING CHINESE VISA IN VIETNAM 2024

  • For foreigners applying for a Chinese visa for business/tourism in Vietnam, they need to provide a valid E-visa/ Business/ Labor Visa and the latest recent Vietnam entry stamp;
  • According to the announcement of the Chinese Visa Application Center in Vietnam, from October 23, 2023, appointment for submitting Chinese visa is canceled;
  • Conditions apply to applying for a business/commercial visa to China for double and multiple entries:
    + China business visa with double entries, applicants must hold at least one (1) single commercial/business visa previously;
    + Chinese business visa with multiple entries requires that applicants must hold at least 2 commercial/business visas previously;
  • For tourist visa: Currently, you can only apply for a single-entry visa.

Documents in accordance with Entry Purpose 

  1. Round-trip flight reservations;
  2. Accommodation booking;
  3. Travel schedule or invitation letter from individuals/organizations in China, the letter includes:
  • Personal information of the invitee
  • Information about the invitee's schedule
  • Personal information of the inviter or organizations, contact methods.
  • The inviter or organizations must sign and stamp (the inviter must provide a copy of ID card).
  1. Invitation letter from the Chinese company;
  2. A copy of Business Registration Certificate of Chinese company;
  3. Decision to dispatch a Vietnamese employee to go on a business trip;
  4. A copy of Business Registration Certificate of Vietnamese company;
  5. In case applicant is the legal representative of the company, it is required to provide the original Business Registration Certificate for comparison on the date of submitting the application.

 

  1. License to recruit foreign employees issued by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security of China;
  2. Notification letter of approving work permit for foreigners” issued by the Department of Foreign Experts
  3. Original and copy of the "Registration Certificate of Permanent Representative Office" of the foreign enterprise issued by Ministry of Industry and Trade;
  4. Original and copy of commercial art performance license issued by the Ministry of Culture and Information of China;
  5. Original and copy of Invitation Letter to have foreigners to participate in offshore oil exploitation activities issued by China Haiyang Petroleum Corporation.

Documents required for All Applicants

  1. Original passport with more than 6 months remaining validity, at least 2 blank pages;
  2. 02 photos 48mm x 33mm with white background, taken within the last 6 months;
  3. Photocopy of bio-data page in passport;
  4. Photocopy of previous Chinese visa (If any);
  5. Visa application form. Complete the online declaration at https://www.visaforchina.cn/globle/, print it out and sign it;
  6. For Vietnamese applicants: Notarized true copy of ID card; 
  7. For applicants under 18 years old - Need to provide the following additional documents:
  • Applicants under 18 years old will have their parents or legal guardian sign and acknowledge the fifth section of the application form. In case a legal guardian's signature is required, you must provide the original and a copy of relevant legal documents, the original passport of the guardian and a photocopy of bio-data page in his/her passport.
  • Applicants under 18 years of age must provide original and copy of birth certificate (required information of parents). If the birth certificate is not in English, Chinese or Vietnamese, a translation must be attached. If personal information in the documents mentioned above is adjusted, other supporting documents provided by the competent authority must be attached.
  • If both parents or one of them does not have a Vietnamese passport, please provide the original and a copy of a valid Vietnam visa and/or work permit.

       8. For those who once held Chinese nationality and then changed to another nationality: Provide previous Chinese passport or original Chinese visa
       9. Documents proving residence:

  • For Vietnamese: Copy of household registration book or Confirmation of residence information which is CT07 or CT08;
  • For foreigners: Original and photocopy of valid Visa/E-visa/Vietnam temporary residence card and Vietnam entry stamp.
