DOCUMENT OF INVITING

If traveling by tour: Provide an original invitation letter from a travel organization/company (if any), clearly stating:

• Full name;
• Date of birth;
• Passport numbers of group members and;
• Confirmation of payment from the travel company for the trip.

The invitation letter clearly states:

• Full name, title, place of work of the applicant
• Purpose of entry, location and duration of stay in Finland
• Documents on conferences, seminar, training programs, etc. (if any)

Ensure that the inviter or a third party will cover all expenses related to the applicant's trip.

PERSONAL DOCUMENT

1. Original passport valid for at least 3 months from the date of departure from Finland and a copy of the passport on A4 paper
2. A recent photo taken with a white background, and in passport size
3. Finland visa application form
4. Travel insurance (Note: This insurance is valid for all Schengen countries with an insured value of at least 30,000 Euro for the entire period of stay of the trip and an additional 15 days after expected date of departure from Finland. And always carry this insurance with you throughout the trip)
5. Temporary residence card or long-term Vietnam visa
6. Work permit (if working in Vietnam)
7. Booking round-trip air tickets
8. Hotel booking
9. Travel itinerary

PROOF OF EMPLOYMENT DOCUMENT

1. For business owners/ shareholders:

• Business Registration Certificate
• Tax reports for the last 3 months
• Social insurance booklet

2. For employees:

• Employment confirmation letter from the company mentioning the leave period
• Decision on a business trip (for business visa type only)
• Payslips of the last 3 months
• Social insurance booklet

3. For retirees:

• Retirement decision/ Pension receipt for the last 3 months

PROOF OF FINANCIAL DOCUMENT

1. Bank account statement within the last 3 months with sufficient balance to cover the trip
2. Balance of account or savings book (if any)
3. Real estate and car ownership documents (if any)

Steps

Step-by-step guidance on how to apply for a Finland Tourist Business Visa

Step 1
Identify visa type

• Identify the type of visa you want to apply for will save time in preparing documents

Step 2
Prepare documents

• Prepare documents according to the requirements of each visa type

Step 3
Book an appointment

• To submit your application at the VFS Visa Application Center, you must make an appointment at the VFS Global website and come to the center according to the scheduled appointment.

Step 4
Submission

• Applicants must present themselves to submit their application in person at VFS Global Visa Application Center with a pre-booked appointment and submit an application along with the required supporting documents.

Step 5
Fee payment

• Pay fees as prescribed for each type of visa. The center will collect Vietnamese Dong (VND). Invoices will be issued for all fees paid at the Center.

Step 6
Take biometrics

• After submitting your application, you will be required to provide biometrics (photograph and fingerprints).

Step 7
Receive results

• Processing time according to Schengen regulations is 15 working days, however in some cases it may take longer.
• You can choose one of the following 3 ways to receive visa results:
  + Come directly to pick up results at VFS based on the receipt.
  + Register for the express delivery service, and once the results are available, the documents will be sent to your address.
  + Authorize another person to get the results on your behalf. This person needs to bring a photocopy of her/his ID card, a photocopy of the applicant's passport and a notarized authorization letter to receive the results.
