SHORT-TERM ITALY VISA (SCHENGEN VISA)

Duration of stay

Usually, short-term stays of up to 90 days are for tourist trips, short-term visits, business trips, and short-term event participation and can be used throughout the Schengen area.

It usually requires a visa application, a passport, personal photos, information about the itinerary, and the purpose of the trip.

ITALI VISA APPLICATION PROCEDURE FOR FOREIGNERS FROM VIETNAM - ACCORDING TO PURPOSE OF ENTRY

Below are detailed instructions on the process of preparing documents, submitting and receiving Italy visa results at VFS Global Visa Application Center:

PROCESSING STEPS

PROCESS OF APPLYING FOR ITALY BUSINESS - TOURIST  VISA

STEP 1

DETERMINE VISA TYPE AND PREPARE DOCUMENTS

BUSINESS

The company in Italy

  1. Letter of invitation from the Italian company  (follow the sample)
  2. A copy of travel agenda indicating schedules business contacts;
  3. A copy of valid ID card or passport of the inviter from the Italian company;
  4. A copy of Business Registration (Visura Camerale) of the Italian company;
  5. All the above listed documents must be sent directly from the Italian company to the Consulate General of Italy in Ho Chi Minh City via email hochiminh.visti@esteri.it and hochiminh.commerciale@esteri.it . The applicant also needs to bring these documents in paper along with the visa application at the VFS center.

 

The company in Vietnam

Business owner/capital shareholder or business household:

  1. Business registration certificate
  2. Company’s tax return statement for the last 6 months

 

The employee:

  1. Confirmation of employment by the host company (position, position, working hours, etc.)
  2. Labor contract stating position, length of employment
  3. The decision to business trip
  4. Salary slips of the most recent 6 months

TOURIST

Invitation letter from an individual in case of staying at this individual's home (if any).

Business owner/capital shareholder or business household:

  1. Business registration certificate
  2. Tax reports for the most recent 6 months

 

Employee:

  1. Confirmation of employment by the host company (position, position, working hours, etc.)
  2. Labor contract stating position, length of employment
  3. Application for leave

GENERAL DOCUMENTS APPLICABLE FOR BOTH ITALIAN BUSINESS & TOURIST:

  1. Document checklist needs to be prepared according tourist or business purposes
  2. Click here to download the visa application form if your jurisdiction is the Italian Embassy in Hanoi.
  3. Click here  to download the visa application form if your jurisdiction is the Consulate General of Italy in Ho Chi Minh City
  4. Valid Work permit
  5. Valid Vietnam Temporary Residence Card/ Long-term visa
  6. Original passport, valid for at least three months after visa expiry date, containing at least 2 blank pages
  7. Two (2) recent photographs (standard ICAO) – must not be edited)
  8. Identity card (ID card)
  9. Marriage Certificate, of divorce certificate (if any)
  10. Travel Insurance, valid for all countries in the Schengen States, for the whole period of stay with minimum coverage is more than 30.000 Euro
  11. Trip itinerary (English or bilingual English-Vietnamese)
  12. Hotel booking
  13. Flight ticket booking

PROOF OF FINANCIAL DOCUMENT

  1. Last 6 months bank statement. (Original one with seal from the bank)
  2. Notarized copy of bank saving book/ Bank Account Verification (if any)

STEP 2

MAKE AN APPOINTMENT

To submit your application at the Italian Visa Application Center, you must make an appointment at the VFS Global website and go to the application center according to the scheduled appointment at:

  • If booking a group of 6 people, pay at VFS Hanoi: Please contact VFS Call Center in advance or via email: info.itvn@vfshelpline.com to schedule an appointment.
  • If booking in a group: Travel companies need to email VFS (info.itvn@vfshelpline.com) to request an appointment.

STEP 3

SUBMIT THE DOCUMENTS FOR ITALI VISA

WHERE TO APPLY FOR ITALY VISA

Applications for Italian visas in Vietnam are reviewed by the Embassy/Consulate (or service provider outside VFS).

For short-term business and tourist visa applications, please submit your application to the 3 locations below:

  • VFS HO CHI MINH CITY
  • Address: Resco Building, 3rd Floor, No. 94-96 Nguyen Du Street, Ben Nghe Ward, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City
  • Time to receive applications: 08:30 – 12:00 and 13:00 – 15:00, on Monday to Friday except holidays.
  • Time to return results: 13:00 – 16:00 on Monday to Friday except holidays

 

  • VFS HANOI
  • Address: Ocean Park Building, Room 1106, 11th Floor, No. 1 Dao Duy Anh, Phuong Mai Ward, Dong Da District, Hanoi
  • Time to receive applications : 08:30 – 12:00 and 13:00 – 15:00, on Monday to Friday except holidays.
  • Time to return results: 13:00 – 16:00 on Monday to Friday except holidays

 

  • VFS DANANG
  • ACB Building, Floor 06, 218 Bach Dang, Phuoc Ninh Ward, Hai Chau District, Da Nang City
  • Time to receive applications : 08:30 – 12:00 and 13:00 – 15:00, on Monday to Friday except holidays.
  • Time to return results: 13:00 – 16:00 on Monday to Friday except holidays

STEP 4

PAY FEE

Pay fees according to the fee table prescribed for each type of visa. The center will collect Vietnamese Dong (VND). Invoices will be provided for all fees used at the Center.

STEP 5

TAKE A BIOMETRIC MARK

After submitting your application, you will be asked to provide a biometric form (photograph and fingerprints).

STEP 6

GET ITALY VISA RESULTS

The processing time for the application review process is 15 working days, however according to Schengen regulations, this process can be up to 30 days or longer.

You can choose one of the following 3 ways to receive visa results:

  • Come directly to pick up documents at the Center after receiving notice of results.
  • Register for the express delivery service, and once the results are available, the documents will be sent to the address you registered to receive.
  • Authorize another person to get the results on your behalf. This person needs to bring a photocopy of their ID card, a photocopy of the applicant's passport and a letter of authorization from the applicant to receive the results.
