The validity of a TRC depends on the purpose of entry, the type of visa, and the professional qualifications of the foreign expatriates. The validity of the TRC will be at least 30 days shorter than the passport's validity. Foreign expatriates will not be issued a TRC if their passport is only valid for 12 months.
