DETAILED INSTRUCTIONS ON THE STEPS OF APPLYING FOR AN ENTRY APPROVAL LETTER FOR FOREIGNERS 2024

Step 1

Prepare documents to apply for Vietnam entry approval letter

1. CREATE THE PUBLIC SERVICE ACCOUNT (MINISTRY OF PUBULIC SECURITY)

For company accounts

• Certified copy of Business license
• Form (NA16)
• Form for opening an account (NA19)

For personal accounts

• Mobile number/Social insurance/VNEID account/Vietnam Post account
• And declare all information as required on the system

2. APPLY FOR ENTRY APPROVAL LETTER

For Business Purposes

• Form NA2: Declare all information about the sponsor company /organization and foreigners on the system
• Application forms
• Working schedule
• Commitment form (Applicable for some nationalities)
• Foreigners’ passport, valid for at least 6 months.

For the purpose of visiting relatives who is Vietnamese

• Form NA3: Complete information about the sponsor individual and the foreigner.
• Certificate of relationship: For example, birth certificate, marriage certificate.
• Foreigners’ passport, valid for at least 6 months.

Step 2

Register for an electronic account

• Step 2.1: Access dichvucong.bocongan.gov.vn
• Step 2.2: Select "Register account" and fill in the required information: name, email, phone number, address.
• Step 2.3: Confirm information via email or SMS.
• Step 2.4: After your account is activated, you will receive a login code to submit your online application.

Step 3

Submit online application

• Step 3.1: Log in to the system: Use the login code.
• Step 3.2: Select the procedure "Xét duyệt nhân sự nước ngoài” means Considering and approving foreigners’ entry.
• Step 3.3: Fill in information of the foreigner.
• Step 3.4: Attach documents: Upload necessary document files such as passport and application forms.
• Step 3.5: Submit application: Confirm and send application.
• Step 3.6: Track processing status: Use the submission code to track the status of the application.

Step 4

Track application status

• Step 4.1: Access dichvucong.bocongan.gov.vn
• Step 4.2: Select "Tra cứu hồ sơ" means tracking application.
• Step 4.3: Enter submission code and captcha code.
• Step 4.4: Check the status: Newly created, Received, Processing, Results released or Modification required.

Step 5

Vietnam Visa Stamp

After receiving the visa results from the sponsor company, foreigners should print out and prepare the accompanying documents so that they can stamp the visa on their passport at one of the following two locations:

• Viet Nam International Airports
• Vietnamese Embassy or Consulate abroad

How to submit application & get results

Currently, company submit and retrieve results online. They must have a token to sign a digital signature when creating an account and submitting documents.

Authorities process the entry approval letter

In Hanoi:

• Hanoi Immigration Department: 44-46 Tran Phu, Ba Dinh, Hanoi.
• Working hours: From Monday to Friday, from 8:00 - 17:00.

In Ho Chi Minh City:

• Ho Chi Minh Immigration Department: 333-335 Nguyen Trai, District 1, Ho Chi Minh.
• Working hours: From Monday to Friday, from 8:00 - 17:00.

Form of entry approval letter

ELECTRONIC ENTRY APPROVAL LETTER, with electronic signature and fax number of the Immigration Department

Processing time

• Processing time: Usually 5-7 working days from the date of submission.
• Notification of results: Via email or online system of the Immigration Department

Government fee

• Fax fee: 18,700 VND/page, online transfer.
• Visa fee: Depending on visa type and length of stay, fees will vary.
