TYPES AND VALIDITY OF TEMPORARY RESIDENCE CARD (TRC) FOR FOREIGN INVESTORS

Depending on the value of foreign investors' capital contributions to Vietnamese enterprises, foreign investors will be granted Investment Temporary Residence Cards of different types and durations.

STEP-BY-STEP GUIDANCE TO APPLY FOR INVESTMENT TEMPORARY RESIDENCE CARD (INVESTMENT TRC) IN VIETNAM 2024

For foreigners who want to come to Vietnam to invest in Vietnam and want to apply for a temporary residence permit in Vietnam, they must go through three basic application steps. They can adjust the order in steps 1 and 2 depending on the conditions, and ability to prepare documents and entry plans. However, they are all complicated and need to prepare documents carefully. Depending on each type of Investment TRC, the processing time for the steps and application components will be different. Once completed, foreigners will receive temporary residence cards valid from 1 to 10 years.

Step 2 Apply for TRC	Depending on your residence place, you can choose the authority to submit and review your TRC application; Form of submission: Directly at the Immigration Department office; If your dossier is completed and meet their requirement, the Immigration Department will receive the dossier, give a receipt, and set a date to return the TRC. You would need to prepare for the government fee payment at this step as well.
Step 3 Get the result	Obtaining the TRC (DT Visa) for foreign investors; Processing time: 05-07 working days. However, it would take more time in case the Immigration Department needs more time to review and approve the documents; Form of getting the result: Directly at the Immigration Department office.
