In order to create conditions for tourists to have the opportunity to visit Vietnam more easily, from August 15, 2023, the Vietnamese government has launched a major "preferential policy", which is expanding the list of countries allowed to apply for electronic visa (also known as E-visa). This means that instead of only the original 80 countries being allowed to apply for an E-visa, now almost all countries and territories are allowed to apply for an E-visa in Vietnam, including Ghanaian citizens. I. WHICH CATEGORY OF VIETNAM E-VISA THAT GHANA PASSPORT HOLDERS CAN APPLY?

Depending on the purpose of entry and requirements of e-visa, Ghanaian citizens can apply for a Vietnam E-visa corresponding to that type of e-visa.

1. Purpose of entry: tourism, business, official visit, family visits, travel and family visits, ...
    
2. E-visa validity and duration of stay:

• Validity: 30 days or 90 days
• Duration of stay: the same as visa validity
• Number of entries: single or multiple entry

II. REQUIRED CHECKLIST FOR AN E-VISA ON ARRIVAL TO VIETNAM

The documents that are needed to apply for an e-visa are completely not complicated because everything is performed online without submitting paper documents. Therefore, you only need to prepare all required documents that meet the size and capacity requirements. Along with filling in all the information mentioned on the application on the website, you have completed the E-Visa Vietnam On Arrival application.

Please well-prepare the following documents before applying for E-visa Vietnam:

1. A photo of valid passport information. Please note that your passport must still be valid for at least 6 months from the expected date of entry into Vietnam
2. A portrait photo (size 04x06cm) with white background, neutral gaze, no glasses

III. PROCESSING TIME WHEN APPLY VIETNAM E-VISA FOR GHANA CITIZENS

Therefore, processing time can be classified as below:

• Processing time for normal nationality: 03-05 working days
• Processing time for special nationality: 05-07 working days
