Renewing your Vietnam visa via international land borders or Vietnam’s international airports and embassies/ consulates abroad

The procedure to renew Vietnam visa, apply for all visa types of Vietnam included tourist visa, working visa, business visa, investment visa. Doing visa run at Mocbai border crossing (land border), international airports and Vietnamese’s embassies/ consulates abroad need to complete two steps as the following

<1> The first step: Applying for a new visa approval letter, please confirm and provide the following information and documents as below

• Your next entry date into Vietnam (this is the expected arrival date and not allowed to enter before the expected arrival date, only accepted on or after the arrival date)
• Place of picking up Vietnam visa
• Vietnam visa term/ duration you want to apply for [ 1 month or 3 month, single or multiple entries]
• For the entry purpose of doing business, working, investment, please provide the company’s documents as notarized certified copy of business registration certificate or investment registration certificate or establish Representative Office and notarized certified copy of Seal registration certificate, and all the application forms of visa approval letter must be signed and sealed by a legal representative of the company

<2> The second step: Obtaining/ picking up the Vietnam visa at Mocbai border crossing or Vietnam’ international airport or embassy/ consulate abroad to complete your new visa

This is the final step applied for all cases to complete the procedure of Vietnam visa obtainment; the following documents must be prepared by applicant in advance

• Your original passport must be valid for six months from your intended arrival date, and must have at least one blank visa page;
• 2 passport sized photographs (4x6 cm);
• The original copy of visa approval letter if your place of visa pick up is Mocbai border crossing, the copy of visa approval letter for visa on arrival at airport or Vietnamese’s embassy/ consulate
• Complete the entry and exit application form;
• Prepare visa stamping fee depending on the visa term/ validity and visa single or multiple entry, the visa fee is paid in cash upon arrival
