According to Resolution no. 79/NQ-CP enacted on 25th May, 2020, Vietnamese Government has proposed the policy to issue electronic visa for citizens of some countries along with a list of international border gates through which foreigners are able to enter and exit with their e-visa. Pursuant to this Resolution, citizens of 80 countries in the list provided for in the Resolution shall be issued e-visa if they provide enough information and comply with the procedure on the Electronic visa issuance website. The processing time is about 03 working days and visa5s has given a detailed instruction for you at the bottom of this article. In addition, all information relevant to Vietnam e-visa, countries allowed for e-visa issuance and international border gates by air, sea and land that accept e-visa for entry are listed as well. Please note that this Resolution shall come into force from 1st July, 2020.

PROCEDURE FOR VIETNAM E-VISA ISSUANCE
Foreign individuals are able to apply for e-visa following the steps below. All of these steps must be carried out on the e-visa issuance website:
Step 1: Fill out all information for requesting an e-visa, and upload your portrait photo (straight-looking eyes and without spectacles) and passport’s bio page on the website.
Step 2: Make the payment for visa issuance to the account provided after a code of electronic application has been sent to you by the Immigration Department. The fee for e-visa issuance is USD 25.
Step 3: The immigration authority shall review, consider and respond to the applicant within 03 working days upon the day of receiving all information required.
Step 4: After about 03 days, foreigners should use the application code to check out the result, if it is approved, they can print the visa out to enter and exit Vietnam.
